PS There could be some mistakes made, it was a manual job.

Of course the patches are nothing new, but when you look for a sound and you think it's in there use the SVQ's instead so you don't have to overwrite your fans file and reboot your fantom (which could take a long time when you use a lot of samples). I've just finished converting the XV-5080 Patches to SVQ's in groups of 64 so that's 16 SVQ's. Q&A (data compatibility, saving data, memory cards, control from a MIDI device, playing back data with MIDI sequencers, issues common to all modes, issues related to all modes, issues related to performance mode, issues related to patch mode, issues related to rhythm sets, issues related to effects, issues related to connections, searching. It would also be possible to have the top 8 pads select a bank of 8 sounds and have the bottom 8 pads select the patches of the selected bank, thus having 64 patches at you fingertips in a single SVQ!! It's a bit (read a LOT!!) more work to do this though. Why on earth is there no good demo of the Roland XV 5080s Any music gear discussions that don't fit into one of the other forums. Turn on and ->System->Midi->Receive->Receive Exclusive = ON for this example to work. It's the first 16 patches of the xv's first bank (piano sounds). Here's an example (16 patches) svq to show you what I'm talking about.

It would be possible by pressing a pad to have each Patch sounding in Performance mode just like it was intended. If you complement the svq with a little RPS magic. This temporary performance also contains 16 temporary patches. If not, would anyone be interested in such a collection of SVQ's? The idea is this: an svq contains the temporary performance at save time. I mean that when you want to go through all the XV sounds, you first have to overwrite the fans file and then reboot.
